Boxster Technical Seminar

Thanks to those who made it out to the Boxster oil change / maintenance Tech Seminar last weekend.  Hopefully it was as informative as it was fun.

In addition to finding out how easy an oil change is on a modern Porsche, participants were presented with brake and suspension inspection tips, engine and cabin air filter changes, and light was shined on the mysterious whereabouts of the Boxster engine. Just getting startedOn to the brakesIn here somewhere?

2013 Spring Rally

EBR’s first rally of the season was held on Saturday April 6th.  It was dubbed the “Frackin” rally because it wound across some beautiful roads in Stark and Carroll Counties that are experiencing a boom in oil and natural gas production.  There was a great line-up of cars with just under forty members participating.

In addition to the great roads, everyone was treated to some beautiful early spring weather and great food.  After driving a one and a half hour, well-planned route with an mix of relaxed driving and challenging questions, the drive concluded at the Hart Mansion in Minerva.  This fine restaurant is set in a historic home originally constructed in 1869 that features Italianate Architecture that was popular in Victorian America.

Congratulations to the following rally winners:  The brother and sister team of Alex Soduk and Stephanie  finished in first place with a perfect score.  Second place went to Walt and Julie Soduk.  Third place went to new members Harry Bindreiter and Denise.  Also a special Thank You goes out to Joe and Kelly Bernstein for planning a great event.

March Cars and Coffee

The last Saturday in March brought with it some of the best weather so far of 2013 and a great turn out to the first EBR Cars and Coffee event of the driving season. Everyone who attended seemed to have a minor case of cabin fever and was ready and willing to get the car out for a drive.

Special Bonus points for anyone who can name make and model of the right hand drive Japanese built Italian designed car pictured here.

Hope to see you at the next event!”
